Biography

Youth Radio is a multimedia youth organization based in Oakland, California. Youth Radio teaches young people between the ages of 14 and 24 radio broadcasting, audio and video production, and graphic design. The voices of Youth Radio reporters can be heard locally, nationally, and internationally on radio, Internet, and through print media. Youth Radio reports and commentaries can be heard on outlets from National Public Radio and Public Radio International to iTunes. In addition to Youth Radio's Oakland headquarters, the organization has bureaus in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Washington, DC.

Fellow's Project
Youth Radio partnered with local New Orleans youth media groups, schools, non-profit organizations, and individual young people to create Generation Katrina: Youth Voices from New Orleans.
